Privacy Policy

By using this website, you are agreeing to the following Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully before using the website.

We at Amita Parikh respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you provide to us when you access our website, purchase our services or online courses or engage with us on social media, as well as your own rights to the information we collect.

We will alert you to any changes to this Policy by changing the “last updated” date at the bottom of this page. Any changes become effective immediately upon publication on the website, and you waive specific notice of any changes to the Policy by continuing to use and access our site(s). You are deemed to have accepted any changes to any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of our website after the revised Privacy Policy is posted.

What Information Does This Site Collect?

Newsletter and Blog

If you voluntarily sign up for Amita Parikh’s newsletter or blog, this site will record your name and email address. You can refuse to supply personal information, but that will exclude you from certain related activities such as receiving newsletters, updated blogs, and being eligible for giveaways and free offers.

When subscribers click on a link in one of our emails, or fills out a form, the site may record this information (see below how this information is used).

Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time and you may ask for all your data to be deleted at any time by contacting amita@amitaparikh.com

Giveaways and Contests

If you enter a giveaway, your email address and name are collected. If you win a physical prize, you will be asked to give your name and physical address.

Non-personal Information

This website may collect non-personal information about visitors when they interact with the site. This information may include the browser name, means of connection to the site, and other non-identifying information.

How Is the Information Used?

Newsletter and blog subscribers’ names and emails will only be used for receiving the newsletters, the blog, or communication from Amita Parikh.

Giveaway entrants will be sent emails only about the giveaway, unless they also signed up for the newsletter or blog.

Information on which email links are clicked on the most will help Amita Parikh choose links that interest readers in future emails.

Sharing of Personal Information

Subscriber information is never shared with a third party. The only exception is that email addresses may occasionally be used to create lookalike audiences for online marketing. This in no way distributes the emails or signs subscribers up to any other services.

Third-party links

Sometimes Amita Parikh will include third-party links through email or on the website. These sites have their own policies and you should read those before subscribing or purchasing from them.

Security of Information

All information is saved by Squarespace and ConvertKit and only Amita Parikh can access it. Should a data breach ever occur, subscribers will be notified within 7 days.

Log Files and Cookies

Like many other websites, we use log files and cookies. Log files merely log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

This website may use “cookies” to enhance visitor experience. Typically, cookies may be placed on visitors' hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Visitors may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to send an alert when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the site may not function properly.

Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. In addition, when you first encounter our website, you will be asked to “consent to cookies.” If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. However, this may affect your ability to use or make purchases from our website. By continuing to use our website and not disabling cookies on your browser, you are consenting to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Analytics

We may partner with third party analytic companies, including Google Analytics. The analytic companies may also use cookies or other tracking technologies to analyze visitors’ use of our website to determine the popularity of the content, and better understand online activity. We do not transfer personal information to these third party vendors. However, in order to access our website, you must consent to the collection and use of your information by these third party analytic companies. You should review their Privacy Policy and contact them directly if you have questions. If you do not want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, visit the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool or Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-Out Tool.

All website visitors and subscribers must be 18 or older or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
